Privacy policy
What mics.dev collects, why, and for how long. The short version: no advertising, no tracking cookies, and your payment details never reach this site.
Who is responsible
Mic runs Mic Scripts and this site, and is responsible for the personal data described here. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].
Buying a script
Checkout is run by Tebex Limited, the merchant of record. Your name, email address, billing address and payment details go to Tebex, never to this site, and Tebex’s own privacy policy covers them.
From each sale, Mic Scripts receives what it needs to deliver and support it: your Cfx.re username, what you bought and when, the transaction ID, and the Discord ID you connect for the Customer role. We keep this while you own the scripts, to deliver updates and answer support tickets, and for as long as the law requires sales records to be kept.
Signing in
You sign in with your Cfx.re account on Tebex’s pages; this site never sees your password. Your browser keeps a reference to your Tebex basket. When you spin the wheel or write a review, our server asks Tebex which Cfx.re account (username and ID) is signed in to that basket and, for reviews, what that account bought.
Daily spin
For each spin we store your Cfx.re username and ID, the prize, its code and when you spun, so that each account spins once a day. Your IP address is used to limit the spins per connection. Each spin, with the IP address, is also posted to a private staff channel on our Discord, to spot abuse.
The code is created at Tebex as a coupon tied to your Cfx.re username, and deleted after 24 hours if it has not been used. Your last spin is kept while the daily spin runs; IP addresses are deleted after 30 days.
Reviews
A review is stored with your Cfx.re username and ID, the script, your rating, your text and the date. Your IP address is used to limit abuse and deleted after 30 days. The review is public, with your Cfx.re username, on this site and in the #reviews channel of our Discord.
If you review with /review on our Discord, it is stored with your Discord name and ID instead, and shown in the same places. Reviews that customers gave us in support tickets are published with their Discord name and the date of the ticket.
You can change or delete your review at any time from the review form, signed in with the same account. Deleting it removes it from the site at once.
Visit statistics
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not follow you across sites and does not identify you: it only tells us which pages are read, and roughly from where.
Hosting and security
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to serve the pages and protect them from attacks. It is hosted on a server of Contabo GmbH in the European Union, whose access logs, with IP addresses, are kept for up to 14 days.
In your browser
mics.dev sets no cookies. It saves a few settings in your browser’s local storage, which stay on your device: your language, currency and cart, your Tebex basket reference and whether the spin plays sound. You can clear them from your browser at any time.
Live prices and the checkout come from Tebex’s servers, and product images from Tebex’s image service, so your browser connects to Tebex. Videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and load only when you press play.
Other services
Discord (support), YouTube, GitBook (documentation), GitHub and the Cfx.re forum and portal are separate services with their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them.
Why we may use your data
To sell, deliver and support what you bought (performing a contract); to run the daily spin and the reviews you choose to take part in, and to keep them fair (legitimate interest); to keep the site secure and know which pages are read (legitimate interest); and to keep sales records (legal obligation). We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format, by writing to [email protected]. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD, aepd.es) or to the one in your country.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
